CITY, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) Earlier this month, the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury accident involving livestock.

According to the news release, two people driving south on County Road 11 struck 3 horses on the road.

The two were transported to CHI Mercy Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The three horses did not survive the November 10th crash.

Sheriff Randy McClaflin said to avoid any future livestock accidents, please make sure your fences are adequate and secured properly to avoid livestock at large.  

Repeat offenders of livestock at large owners can be charged with Livestock at Large a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
