N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – This Thanksgiving travel season is expected to be the busiest since 2007.
According to AAA, nearly 49 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more for the holidays, one million more travelers than 2015. AAA Spokesperson Gene LaDoucer reports that Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday of the year.
LaDoucer says low gas prices and an improving economy are reasons that more people will be traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday this year.
LaDoucer reminds travelers to drive safe and watch the forecast before they head out. You can find more statistics in the graphic below, provided by AAA.
