(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High landed two players on the all-state teams for the 2016 volleyball season. Juniors Megan Gaffaney and Hannah Schiele were selected by the North Dakota coaches to represent the Jays.
Head Coach Sara Hegerle was also named North Dakota Class A coach of the year.
Gaffaney is the Jays’ setter and passed 2,000 career assists this season. She is a three-year starter and was named a captain of the team as a junior.
Schiele was named to the second team all-state after leading the Jays in digs in 2016. For both players it is their first all-state selection. They will both be back leading the Jays in 2017.
Century’s Regan Dennis was named WDA player of the year and Class A senior athlete of the year.
