(NewsDakota.com) – The LaMoure Loboes won a rematch of last years state title match by defeating Langdon 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-14) en route back to the state championship for the third time in four years.

Langdon took the opening set after rallying from a six-point deficit (20-14) late with a handful of thunderous kills from Madison Hart. After that, LaMoure won the next three but they needed every point to do so. Both the second and third sets went down to the wire with the Loboes coming out with 25-23 wins.

“We got Anna [Holen] stuck in the back row for too long in that first set, but we talked about it in our timeouts and we pushed through,” said a very excited head coach Laurie Good after the match.

Defensively, LaMoure turned it up in the latter half of the match and rolled to a big win in the fourth. “We don’t have a huge block, so we really stress defense and you saw that tonight,” said Good.

Anna Holen lead LaMoure with 34 kills. Kindra Hamlin racked up 26 digs.

The Loboes will play either Our Redeemer’s or Kindred in the last match of the day tomorrow night at 8pm for the state title. You can listen to the game on TED-FM 98.3 and NewsDakota.com.
