N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown Jazz Ensemble will be performing on November 16th at the Denault Auditorium at 7:30 PM.
Dr. Laura Lynch is an Assistant Professor and Director of Instrumental Music at the University. She stated that Jazz is meant to be an interactive music form, so they encourage those who come to “participate”.
Dr. Lynch says they have many returning students in the ensemble this year, so the chemistry makes the concert that much more enjoyable.
Roughly 22 students comprise the band. Dr. Lynch says a majority of them aren’t even music majors.
The concert is free and open to everyone.
