N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Community Action Region VI of Jamestown provides program and services to those in need and this fall, they are the ones in need.

Pantry Manager Sarah Oberlander stated that the summer time is typically the busiest for them. Several area organizations hold different food drives and fundraisers of sorts to assist Community Action Region VI.

According to Oberlander, this August saw an all-time high of food baskets distributed for the region.

Community Action has also seen a large number of new families coming through to take advantage of their services. One of the many fall events that assist the pantry is the annual Turkey Trot. Carolyn Tomlin-Chicos stated that they hold the event specifically to raise money and food for Community Action Region VI.
