(VCSUVikings.com)- Despite a loss Saturday at the University of Jamestown, the Viking volleyball team will be the No. 4 seed for the upcoming North Star Athletic Association conference tournament.

VCSU closed the regular season with a three-game loss at Jamestown on Saturday: 12-25, 15-25, 14-25.

Valley City State hit just .012 in the loss as the No. 23-ranked Jimmies hit .452. Clarissa Olson had six kills and Megan Johnson five for the Vikings. Taylor Balkan had 20 assists and Leah Ruter led the team with seven digs.

The Vikings end the regular season at 11-21 overall and 7-9 in conference play. VCSU finish tied with Dickinson State for fourth place in the NSAA standings, but the Vikings own the tiebreaker and will host the Blue Hawks on Tuesday night in the first round of the NSAA Tournament.
