N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The big day is finally here for deer gun hunters in North Dakota.
Hunters need a fishing, hunting, and fur-bearer certificate along with their deer license to participate in the season. State Game & Fish Biologist Doug Leier stated that typically, hunters like to see colder weather and snow on the ground for tracking. With the weekend forecast calling for warmer temperatures, Leier says to take advantage of it.
While everyone is excited about the season, Leier says safety is of the utmost importance.
49,000 Deer Gun Licenses have been issued for the 2016 Deer Gun season. A list of frequently asked questions can be found on the Game and Fish Department’s website.
