CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Connie Maresh, a member of the Bank Forward team in the Tuesday night Hi-Lo Women’s Bowling League at Sky Lanes bowls the first 300 game in the history of the Valley City Women’s USBC program.
She had combined the scores of 178-233-300 for a 711 series. This is the first 700 ever rolled in the local Women’s program in Valley City. The previous record was held by Julie Martin with scores of a 289 bowled in 2003 and a 696 bowled in 2001.
Maresh starting bowling at the age of 8 in the Valley City Youth Bowling program. After graduating High School, Connie moved to Alaska where she bowled for 32 years. As an avid bowler she earned numerous awards while bowling in Alaska, including Bowler of the Year twice.
Connie held a 200+ average for over 10 years, with 211 being her highest league average. She was inducted into both the Alaska Bowling Hall of Fame and Anchorage Bowling Hall of Fame.
Maresh competed in the U-S Women’s Open Tournament twice, earning money once during the tournament. The Open tournament is a major event on the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour.
