N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Since 2010, the population of North Dakota has increased by an estimated 12.5%, so the website SafeWise has been monitoring data to find the safest cities in the state.

According to SafeWise, the likelihood of a crime occurring in their top five safest communities is slim to none. Carrington has once again made the top five list, dropping from first to third this year. Other safest cities are Beulah at number one, New Town at number two and Carrington, Stanley and Lincoln rounding out the top five respectively.

According to FBI reports, less than three out of 1,000 individuals are victims of a crime in those communities. Other cities on the safe list include Jamestown at 16, Valley City at 10 and Fargo at 13.
