(NewsDakota.com) The higher seeds reigned supreme on the opening night of the Class B District 6 volleyball tournament.
The first match went five sets with #4 Linton-HMB defeating #5 Kidder County three sets to two by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 14-25 and 15-13.
The second match was a convincing sweep, as #3 South Border dismantled #6 Strasburg/Zeeland by scores of 25-9, 25-3 and 25-7.
Tournament play resumes Thursday with #1 Medina/Pingree-Buchanan meeting Linton-HMB followed by #2 Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter facing South Border.
Kidder County and Strasburg/Zeeland have Thursday off, and will play in Region III qualifiers on Friday.
