CITY, ND – (NewsDakoa.com) The tobacco prevention program at City-County Health District’s primary goal is to prevent youth from ever starting to smoke or use tobacco products.

Local Tobacco Prevention Coordinator Heather Schwehr said, “It is proven that one of the best ways to do this is by raising the price on tobacco. She said, tobacco companies know that this tactic works and that is exactly why they have contributed over $3.5 million dollars in North Dakota alone to defeat Measure 4.

Schwehr said, “Our intent is not to tell you how to vote for this particular measure but we do feel it is important to be informed.”
