Gustav Price, 91, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Maryhill Manor in Enderlin, ND.  Alfred was born on October 25, 1925 to Frank and Leopoldina (Schlegel) Price on the Fingal family farm.  Alfred graduated from Lucca High School in 1944.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and served in the Pacific and Philippines from June till October 1945.  He was in the Philippines when Hiroshima was bombed so he did not have to go to Japan.  After the service he went to Wahpeton School of Science and became an electrician.  He worked around the country on many missile sites and at the Coal Gasification Plant in Beulah, ND.  After retirement he moved to the family farm in Fingal, ND.  After a fall 2 years ago he has resided at the North Dakota Veteran’s Home in Lisbon and most recently at Maryhill Manor in Enderlin.

Alfred is survived by two sisters, Laura (Clinton) Stowman and Betty (Jerry) Wavra; a sister-in-law Gerry Price; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Rudolph, Eleanore, Esther (James) Hovda, Lawrence, Victor, Mary, Robert (Betty), and Edward Price.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fingal, ND with Rev. Christopher Markman celebrant.  Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church.  Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery at Fingal.
