The Jamestown Fire Department has now responded to 241 calls since the beginning of 2016. In 2015, they responded to 296 total calls. Below is a full report on dates, times and descriptions of each call for service.
Call No. 230 October 14th, 11:55AM, ready squad responded to 112 6th Ave SE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
Call No. 231 October 14th, 1:48PM, ready squad responded to 1116 Western Park Village, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke odor. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 232 October 14th, 6:08PM, ready squad responded to 112 2nd St NE, Gladstone Inn, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-natural gas smell around the dryer. Staff was advised to have qualified firm service the dryer. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 233 October 14th, 11:00PM, ready squad responded to 509 2nd Ave SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected, carbon monoxide was detected at 35ppm. Firefighters advised occupant to have the gas appliances checked. Time out 30 minutes.
