MN (Learfield Data Services) – Xcel Energy is seeking state approvals to build three new wind farms in southern Minnesota, and one in North Dakota.
The Minneapolis-based utility says the four turbine projects would generate enough electricity to power nearly 400-thousand homes by 2020.
The farms would be located in Freeborn and Lincoln counties in Minnesota, and Dickey County in southeastern North Dakota.
