N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown has created the conversation of creating an entrepreneur center for the community.
On Thursday, October 27th, several entrepreneurs will present information on creating a business and how they got started. Tena Lawrence, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the University of Jamestown, stated that it all began last year after Rich Garmin with Great River Energy brought the idea to University President Bob Badal.
Lawrence stated that from there, a steering committee was created. The committee toured several entrepreneurial centers across the state to gauge what the community of Jamestown could do moving forward. So they’ve held three socials over the summer to gather information.
Lawrence believes that Jamestown is ready for a center like this.
The final social will be at 5:30 PM at the new James River Performing Arts School. It’s open to everyone. You can read the original story here.
