N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Fire crews were called to an apartment for a reported kitchen fire Thursday afternoon.

Lt. Sheldon Mohr report that firefighters were alerted to a small kitchen fire at 1100 Northeast Apartments at around 6:30 PM.

“The fire was on top of the stove, burning oil or something. We were able to keep the fire contained to that apartment,” Lt. Mohr reported.

Apartment residents spent the night elsewhere so the apartment could be cleaned up. No injuries were reported. 31 firefighters were on scene for about 30 minutes.
