N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A tradition that has been held possibly since the 1800’s continues this month in Jamestown.
The annual German Supper will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church on October 29th. Pastor Erik Weber stated that when St. John’s was first created in the 1800’s, they would just call the annual feast “The Supper.”
Pastor Weber stated that the supper will include classic German dishes such as home-cooked sauerkraut, kuchen, and sausage. He pointed out that many members of their congregation help prepare the meal, but that the supper is open to everyone.
The supper will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children 11 and under, and family tickets are $35.
You can call St. John’s Lutheran Church at 701-252-1198 for more information.
