N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – SmartAsset has found that Valley City & Jamestown are top leaders when it comes to matching 401k contributions.

The financial technology company used several methods for collecting the data including employer and employee 401k contributions to determine employer contribution percentage. They then created a calculator that finds annual earnings on investments.

According to the company, Valley City leads the way with 74.6% when it comes to employer contribution percentages. Jamestown is second with 52.9% employer contribution. Dickinson, Wahpeton, and Bismarck round out the top 5 respectively.
