N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—-The Carrington Cardinals started the game with a 56 yard scoring drive that took over half the first quarter setting the tone for 26-0 win over the Oak Grove Grovers. Kaden Wolsky plunged over the goal line with 5:49 to play in the opening quarter and led 7-0 after a successful extra point kick from Braxton Hewitt. The Grovers first possession ended after a pair of first downs and a punt giving the Cardinals the ball back at there own 28 yard line. The second possession of the night for the Cards was a quick one that resulted in a 1 play drive that went for a 72 yard TD pass from Hayden Schmitz to Drew Page giving Carrington a 14-0 lead with 3:10 remaining in the first quarter. Page would add another score on a 14 yard TD run with 5:01 to go in the first half giving the Cards a 20-0 lead at half time. Carrington would get the only points of the second half on a 1 yard TD run from Schmitz on a QB keeper with 7:24 to go in the game and sealed a 26-0 win for the Cards.

Carrington improved to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in Region 1 play and Oak Grove dropped to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Region 1 play.

Carrington will host Milnor-North Sargent next Friday night at 7:00 P.M. and will be aired on AM 1600 KDAK and also at www.newsdakota.com with a pregame at 6:30.
