N.D. (NewsDakota.com)——The Carrington girls volleyball defeated Ellendale 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-15) and improved to 18-0 overall and 4-0 in district 5 play. Ellendale dropped to 6-7 0verall and 1-3 in district play.

Carrington connected on 97 percent of their serves (69/71) and recorded 12 aces, led by Emerson Hoornaert with a match high 4 aces and Carmen Pederson added 3 aces. Maara Nelson once again led Carrington with a match high 16 kills. Kaedyn Mehring finished with 7 kills and Pederson added 5. Josie Henningsen led Ellendale with 6 kills. Carrington will travel to Maddock on Thursday night for there next match versus Benson County. The match will start at about 7:00 P.M. and can be heard at www.newsdakota.com  and AM 1600 KDAK.
