ND – (NewsDakota.com) The North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing in Valley City Tuesday, September 27th regarding a proposal to construct the Glacier Ridge Wind Farm in Barnes County.
The wind farm will have a capacity to generate up to 300 megawatts of electrical power using 87 wind turbines. Total cost of the wind farm is estimated at $375 million.
The project will encompass slightly more than 34 thousand acre area about five miles northeast of Valley City.
The public hearing will be held today at 9am in the Vangstad Auditorium on the Valley City State University campus.
The hearing provides an opportunity for members of the public to contribute to the PSC’s official record.
Any comments from members of the public must be received at the hearing to be part of the record.
People with concerns, questions or support/opposition for the project are encouraged to attend the hearings and present their information.
Information received after the hearing will not be part of the official record and cannot be used as a basis for the Commission’s decision unless certain additional procedures are followed.
