N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 30 year-old Minneapolis, MN man was injured after colliding with a train Monday morning near Dwight, North Dakota.

Sgt. Matthew Denault with the NDHP reports that Mahamoud Hussein was traveling on Richland County Road 10 from Fargo to Wahpeton when he observed a train. He attempted to stop, but could not stop in time. The report says the train struck the front passenger side of the truck tractor.

The semi received extensive damage and landed roughly a block down the tracks. The driver was transported and treated for minor injuries.
