CITY,ND (NEWSDAKOTA.COM)- Valley City State University snapped a 2 game lossing streak with a commanding  36-7 victory over Waldorf in their homecoming game at Shelly Ellig Field.The Viking lead 14-0 less than 5 minutes into the contest with a touchdown from Darius Graves and a fumble brought into the end zone by Gavin Kolden. VCSU was up 26-0 at the intermission and went up 36-0 before Waldorf got a touchdown with 46 seconds left in the game.

The defense kept The Warriors to 64 yards in the 1st half with -5 rushing. Waldorf finished with 225 yards.Nicholas McBeain registered 18 tackles.Tanner Kessel had 11 and Andre Peppers and Jawuan Pugh 7 each. The Vikings had fumble recoveries from Gavin Kolden,Ben Bruenjes and Tyler Masat.

Kurtis Walls passed for 193 yards with a touchdown pass to Jake Peterson. Tayler Lentz had 60 yards on 4 receptions. Louis Quinones rushed for 90 yards with a 34 yard touchdown. VCSU had 416 total offensive yards. Harrison Hammel had 3 field goals, his longest was 27 yards.

VCSU gets back to .500 at 2-2 and earns a win in NSAA Conference action. Next Saturday Dickinson State University comes to town for the their 2nd meet of the season.
