N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp today announced $779,000 in federal funding for the Jamestown Regional Airport.

“Airports keep folks in communities across our state connected, and Jamestown is no exception,” Heitkamp said. “This federal funding will make sure Jamestown can continue offering high-quality service to the community for years to come, strengthening the local economy and getting folks where they need to go.”

The federal grants are made available through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The funding is intended for wetland mitigation at Jamestown’s airport.

Since June, Heitkamp has announced a series of federal grants that will be provide federal funds for regional and municipal airports throughout North Dakota to make investments in our transportation infrastructure to keep the state’s people and economy moving forward.
