CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) A proposal to create a centralized school for the Maple Valley School District in Tower City failed twice in 2015, right now the district is asking voters approve a .3 million dollar bond issue to help pay for an addition to the existing structure in Tower City.
Maple Valley Schools Superintendent Brian Wolf talked about a few changes made with the new building proposal. He says an open house about the referendum will be held tonight at 6pm in the Tower City School building.
Maple Valley School District voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, September 20th to vote up or down on the school bond issue.
In April of 2015, voters narrowly defeated the school bond issue. Back then the measure was two votes shy of passing with 59.60 percent in favor. Under state law, 60 percent or more is needed to pass.
