COUNTY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota dignitaries have announced the approval of over $6.4 million in federal grants and funding for water and waste disposal projects in the region.
Projects in Southeast Water Users District, Barnes Rural Water District and the City of Oakes were approved for funding. Southeast Water Users District will receive $4.7 million to expand the region’s water and waste water system. Oakes will get over $1 million for lagoon improvements and Barnes Rural Water District will receive $625,000 in federal loans for a rural water supply project to over 200 users in Kathryn and surrounding area.
Funds were authorized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Programs.
