(NewsDakota.com) The City of Oakes is receiving a significant grant and loan to improve the wastewater treatment lagoon in the community.
North Dakota’s congressional delegation announced Monday that Oakes is to receive a $607,500 grant and a $480,000 loan to assist in the improvements of the lagoon.
Other regional entities will also be granted loans. $4.7 million will go to the Southeast Water Users District to assist in expanding their system, and $625,000 will be loaned to the Barnes Rural Water District for a supply project.
