N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Arts Center and City Forester held an Arbor Day event at the Jamestown Arts Park on Tuesday.

Jamestown Arts Center Executive Director Cyndi Wish says they were contacted by the City Forester to hold the event at their Arts Park in September.

The tree planting event was planned by City Forester Sherri Steckler, who said the event was being held in honor of Jamestown’s 36th year as a “Tree City USA”.

Bob Martin assisted in planting the three trees and Mayor Katie Andersen delivered a proclamation before the ceremony. Below are some pictures from the event.
