The Vikings trailed 28-6 at halftime and 35-12 going into the 4th quarter when they scored 3 unanswered touchdowns to pull within 3. With 2:43 remaining in the game Hastings took over on The VCSU 37 after The Vikings were forced to punt and successfully ran down the clock; handing them their 2nd loss of the season.
Their 415 yards and 32 points mark the largest offensive production of the season for Valley City. Kurtis Walls was 22 for 41 passing with 3 TDs.Colby Lum had 7 catches for 188 yards.
