CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liners scored 2 minutes into the 1st quarter and never looked back improving to 3-0 with a 54-14 win over Turtle Mountain Friday night at Hanna Field. Valley City pushed their lead to 30 after the 1st quarter and lead to 38-0 before The Braves found the end zone. 

Nate Rodriguez scored 3 touchdowns. He rushed for 96 yards with 2 scores and had 2 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. Juan Gille had 13 carries for 100 yards and picked up his 1st touchdown of the season. Eli Allen,Levi Nix and Quinn Bjornson also scored. 

On defense Anthony Capistran had an interception and The Hi-Liners recovered a fumble while holding Turtle Mountain to 193 yards.Drew Jacobson and Matt Brandvold each had a team high 7 tackles. Valley City hits the road next week to face Dickinson Trinity.
