JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning the public of a high risk registered sex offender who has moved into the community.
36 year-old Cory Paxton Harmon currently resides in a camper at 911 4th Avenue Northeast. He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee.
Harmon was charged in 2011 when he communicated with a 13 year-old female and later a 14 year-old male in a chat room and asked them to engage in sexual contact and/or sexual acts and exposed himself twice on webcam. He was also charged in 2011 with Possession of Material and Sex conduct by Minor when he was found to have numerous images of child pornography on his computer depicting young children in various sexual acts.
Harmon is not currently wanted by police. This notice is published by the Jamestown Police Department as a means for public safety. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will result in prosecution.
