N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Identity Theft occurs in many shapes and forms, making it one of the most dangerous crimes in America.

In 2014, Forbes reported that $5.8 billion was given to identity thieves from the IRS due to fraudulent returns. It was also found that more than 1 billion records containing identity information were leaked. On Tuesday, September 13th, a lunch and learn will be held focusing on identity theft and how to stop it.

Chamber Executive Director Becky Thatcher-Keller says they’ve teamed up with Leroux Lochow Financial for this informative lunch.

The lunch will feature Kari Olney and will offer what people should know about identity and solutions to those issues. Registration continues until September 9th and you can contact the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce to register or get more information.
