N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The name of a Bismarck man who died of a heart attack while driving on I-94 Saturday has been released.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that 40 year-old Robert Eichele of Bismarck was traveling westbound on I-94 west of Steele Saturday when he went into cardiac arrest. The vehicle drove off the roadway, into a ditch, through a fence and into a field where it came to rest. Eichele was transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
