N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 40 year-old Bismarck man is dead following a crash six miles west of Steele Saturday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that the man was traveling westbound on I-94 when he went into cardiac arrest. The vehicle drove off the roadway and into the north ditch. The car crashed through a fence and into a field where it came to rest. The driver was transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
