George Gregory Thilmony, beloved husband and father, was born March 5, 1941 to John (Jack) Thilmony and Martha (Petersen) Thilmony. He attended St. Catherine’s High School. On September 23, 1967 he married the love of his life: Anne (Parr) Thilmony of Walhalla, ND. George loved family and loved them in the highest regard. One of George’s greatest accolades, which he bragged about often, was playing offensive line for the undefeated and unscored-upon St. Catherine’s football team. His wife Anne cared for him lovingly the last couple of years. Through his failing health his family was by his side as “family” was everything to him.
George is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anne of Valley City, sons Jason of Valley City and Paul of Fargo. He is also survived by his sisters Peggy (Lynn) Wilson and Ann (Russell) Johnson, both of Valley City, and Elaine (Ron) Rateau, Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his father John, mother Martha, brother Jerome, and a sister June. He will rest in eternal peace knowing he was loved by the people who meant the most to him, “Family”.
