CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) About 600 people attended the Sheyenne Valley Backing the Badge Community Extravaganza on Central Avenue in downtown Valley City on September 1st.
The event was a show of support for those who wear a badge and serve and protect our community.
There were inflatable games for the kids, music and just about everyone received a free meal.
About a dozen women formed a group called the Sheyenne Valley Backing the Badge.
Laura Hatcher’s husband, Phil Hatch is a Lieutenant with the Valley City Police Department. She and Teri McClaflin, the wife of Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said the focus behind this group is to support law enforcement and emergency personal.
