CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The owners of Sandtastics Cafe opened their door August 30th in Valley City along Central Avenue next to Remax Lawn Realty.

Kenneth and Mary McCarty and volunteers have worked for months getting the business ready while working full time at other jobs.

Mary sold her food out of a trailer as a vendor at special events in the region and in Valley City last summer before opening the cafe this week.

Sandtastics has a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu with sandwiches, soup, bake goods and many other items.

The cafe has a unique decor with a number of items that will bring back memories for so many people when the were younger.

The McCarty’s say they want to make a difference in the community by supporting charitable causes while helping promote a positive image for the Valley City community.

Sandtastics Cafe is open Tuesday through Sunday in Valley City.
