N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County State’s Attorney Office has charged 59 year-old Walter Grant Jr. with alleged terrorizing and sexual assault of a Jamestown woman earlier this week.

Grant Jr. was charged Wednesday by Stutsman County Assistant State’s Attorney Katherine Naumann with gross sexual imposition, burglary, and three class C felonies including aggravated assault, terrorizing and felonious restraint. He could face up to 45 years if found guilty on all charges.

Grant Jr. became wanted for questioning after a reported home invasion on Tuesday, August 23rd. A woman called 911 after 6 AM Tuesday to a man who had broken in and sexually assaulted her. Grant was later apprehend 4 hours later by the stockyards Northwest of Jamestown.

Grant Jr. is currently being held at the Stutsman County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Southeast District Court this afternoon.
