N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department released their run report for the first half of August.

According to Fire Chief Jim Reuther’s report, the Department has responded to a total of 193 calls this year. That’s compared to 296 total calls for service in 2015. The department saw a wide range of calls including fire at Cavendish Farms, several gas leaks and a power line on fire.

Call No. 174 July 31st, 6:52AM, ready squad responded to 5855 3rd St SE, Cavendish Farms, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-fryer fire. Fire was out upon arrival. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 45 minutes.

Call No. 175 August 1st, 4:07AM, ready squad responded to 1609 5th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Occupant was advised to replace carbon monoxide detector. Cause-unknown. Time out 40 minutes.
