N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley Plains Equipment of Jamestown has received the Young Professionals of Jamestown Business of the Month Award for August.

The newly built facility currently takes 68,000 square feet and has more retail-type products with a different layout. Construction of the building began in September 2015 and will be finishing up in the next few weeks.

Aaron Raap has been the General Manager since February and stated that he’s honored that they’ve been nominated for the award.

The customer that nominated them stated that he has relied on the service department to help him out several times. Below is an excerpt from the nomination letter:

“Every single one of the mechanics has gone above and beyond. They have explained what’s going on, worked with me to make sure it doesn’t happen again and have always done it with a phenomenal attitude. I have bought machines in the past and I will continue to buy them in Jamestown. The sales department has always been helpful whether it’s buying a new machine or picking out the right accessories for the job around the yard. In closing, I know that customer service is so hard. We all strive for it, but sometimes drop the ball. I want Valley Plains to know that I appreciate all they do for me and the community.”

Valley Plains Equipment will now be eligible for the 2016 Business of the Year award, given by the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce.
