N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In July this year, one horse was injured after being shot with a pellet gun at the Frontier Village.
Police are still searching for those responsible, but the Frontier Village board has decided to take steps to prevent this or other incidents from happening again. Nellie Degen is acting President of the board.
The security system would provide surveillance to the entire frontier village. Degen stated that the board would be holding fundraisers and events to help purchase the $14,000 security equipment for the area. She said this would be preventative steps for the future.
The injured horse is still healing and Degen says it is doing well. You can assist the board and their goal by donating at the Frontier Village or at First Community Credit Union in Jamestown.
