CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Ashley Lions Club donated 00 to the Barnes County Historical Society for the purpose of raising the level of the 2nd floor balcony railing from 36 inches to 42 inches.

Barnes County Museum Curator Wes Anderson says the railing needs to be in compliance with modern building code and safety requirements according to our insurance company. 

Funding from the Ashley Lions Club will be used to purchase necessary materials for the project and the labor will be donated by Howard Langemo, Don Schaack, Jerry Langemo and Mylo Falstad.

Anderson says thanks to the efforts of Jay Cink, the owner of the Duck Inn Lounge in Marion and Lions Club member.
