N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Fire Department was called to a natural gas leak Tuesday afternoon.

According to the department, a service line was cut at 1:36 PM at 723 5th Avenue Southeast. The line cut was caused by an excavation in the yard of the home. Two units and five firefighters were dispatched to the scene and on standby until MDU crews arrived to shut off the line and make repairs.

Fire officials were on scene for roughly 25 minutes.
