N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Shannon Curfman is a famous American blues-rock guitarist and singer born in North Dakota. And this Friday, she returns to her home state.
Curfman got her big break into the music industry in 1999 when she released her first album Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions at the age of 14. She has since toured the country with several big-name acts while also performing with her own band.
Curfman will be returning to the state for the annual Fargo Blues Festival tonight. She talked with RJ Sampson on TED FM about how it feels returning to her roots.
Curfman has toured with the likes of John Mellencamp, George Thorogood and The Indigo Girls. She’s also played on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Good Morning America. She is currently on tour with Kid Rock and his band “Twisted Brown Truckers”.
Curfman joins several acts during the Fargo Blues Festival including Jimmy Thackery, the Dee Miller Band, Canned Heat and Blind Joe.
