N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has reported that the Jamestown Public Schools have the best lunch in the state.
The school has been partnering with a farm in Streeter through the Farm to School program. The program has area producers growing food for local school districts. JPS were one of 50 schools in the nation awarded the “One in a Melon” award for administering an exemplary Farm to School program. All seven public schools have participated in the program since 2008.
More than 2,500 schools participate in a similar program nationwide.
