N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s been five years since the Jamestown Hospital relocated to it’s new location and became the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
On Thursday, July 28th, the hospital celebrated with open tours, meet and greets, and had several dignitaries speak. CEO K.C. DeBoer stated that they were excited to welcome in the community to see the new services they offer and to meet the staff that provides rural and community healthcare.
New staff was also on hand to meet with individuals. Dr. Bailey Runkles will be a new OBGYN in the fall of 2017 at the JRMC. She’s currently finishing school in Oklahoma. She said she chose the JRMC and Jamestown because of the community.
She said she originally didn’t plan on becoming an OBGYN, but fell in love with the job over time.
A formal presentation was given later in the evening and started with Senator John Hoeven. Below is a brief clip of his opening statement.
Senator Heidi Heitkamp followed up with praise for the JRMC and the continued success they’ve found serving the area.
Rick Collin, Senior Policy Adviser to Kevin Cramer, gave a brief statement courtesy of Cramer who could not make it. DeBoer presented a proclamation from Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen as well.
Dennis Pozarnsky, JRMC Operating Board Chairman, wrapped up the session thanking everyone for coming. He stated that the board and JRMC will continue to bring great service and strive to continually grow and be better.
Ambulance and law enforcement personnel were also on hand to show off their equipment. Below are some photos from the event including speakers.
