N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission has made a formal offer to Amy Walters to fill the facilities manager position.

Parks & Recreation Director Doug Hogan stated that Walters was unanimously approved during the meeting Monday evening. Hogan said the process they used to conduct interviews is like the one they do in the public school district. He says Walters will be in charge of the entire operation at TRAC.

“She’s in charge of the entire operation. All the way from the daycare to the aquatics and fitness classes,” Hogan stated. “Some of her duties would include fundraising, developing the budget and managing the budget. She’s going to bring a lot of experience to the table.”

Walters will continue to help with the capital campaign in Phase II of the TRAC project. If Walters accepts the position, she will begin sometime in August.
