N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The 2016 Class B State American Legion baseball tourney was to start today, July 27th at Carrington City Park, but due to heavy rains overnight in a short period of time, the start of the games are delayed until at least 3pm.  The official announcement will come from tourney officials at noon today whether or not that will happen or games will just start up tomorrow.  

Cleanup crews are working diligently to get the field dried and ready for the tournament.  Today’s action was to start at 10:00am with Kidder County taking on Kindred, but now this game has been moved to at least 3pm and that is still up in the air.  Stay tuned to AM 1600 KDAK out of Carrington for further updates, also the KDAK facebook page and Carrington Baseball Club facebook page.

UPDATE:  -no games today (July 27), Day 1 will start tomorrow (July 28) at 10am with Kindred vs. Kidder County, at 1230p Thompson vs. Gardner, at 3pm Hazen vs. LaMoure and at 6pm Carrington vs. Park River.  Opening ceremonies will be held at 5:15pm, all games on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com.
