(NewsDakota.com) Carrington’s Babe Ruth baseball team advanced to Monday play at the 2016 North Dakota State Class B Tournament after winning a pair of games, while LaMoure lost two games and saw their season end.

Carrington defeated Casselton 9-6 and rolled past Grafton 19-3 to advance to a Monday morning date with Thompson. LaMoure lost to Park River 12-2 in six innings and 13-1 to Thompson in four and a half innings. Mac Bierman took both losses for LaMoure, lasting a third of an inning in game one, and two and a third innings in game two.
